Titile: invariance of plurigenera

Abstract:

The goal of this section is to study the deformation invariance of plurigenera. Recall again that for m≥1,the m^th plurigenera P_m (V) of V is the dimension of the space of m-canonical forms on V: P_m (V)=dim〖 H〗^0 (V,O_V (mK_V)).These plurigenera are basic birational invariants,in our further study of algebraic geometry, deformation invariance of plurigenera play a very decided role.

Titile: Fundemental theorem for the minimal model

Abstract:

We prove the non-vanishing theorem and the basepoint free theorem by using multiplier ideal sheaves. Consider a log pair (X; ∆) consisting of a normal variety X and a R-divisor ∆ such that KX + ∆ is R-Cartier. The multiplier ideal is used as a measurement for how far this pair from being klt.
