Title: Generalized Steinberg's cross-section associated with convex elements of Weyl group.
Abstract:
Steinberg's cross-section is a transversal slice of the regular unipotent orbit of a connected reductive group, which corresponds to the conjugacy class of Coxeter elements under Lusztig's map. Steinberg's cross-section has been generalized to arbitrary unipotent orbits by the work of He-Lusztig and Duan. In this talk, we recall the theory of Steinberg's cross-section and generalize it using the notion of convex elements of the Weyl group. This is based on my recent joint work with Sian Nie and Panjun Tan.
